Subject: Mosaic problem
I'm having a slight problem with Mosaic. Every function appears to work fine
except when I try to access the Web server directory. About 150k gets
transfered to my system and then I get, "STOP command failed". Anyone have a
clue what may be causing this? Thanks!

Does your drive have more than 1024 cylinders? I've heard drives with more
than 1024 cylinders will not work in the 32 bit mode.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't suggest to leave it 0.0.0.0. Since
I figured I had to put something there I simply used the Annex address.

Does anyone know of any public domain or inexpensive royalty-free
versions of WinSock that perhaps only does a limited set of the
WinSock API, such as only connectionless UDP.
Thanks

How many cylinders does that drive have? I've heard 32 bit disk access will
not work with anything over 1024. Someone on a BBS I visited said his WD
drive with 1048 would not run 32 bit until he backed off to only 1024
cylinders. He lost 12Mb's but gained back the 32 bit access.

Alun,
Only thing I can say about this (as the author of WS_FTP) is that
some SITES require the use of PASV in order to FTP out of their local
network through their router firewall to retrieve files from remote
hosts. Bob Stockwell helped me put the PASV code in WS_FTP in version
94.03.25 and it does seem to work fine. Initially I only implemented
the minimum functionallity in WS_FTP. However, the times are changing
and there is a requirement for things like PASV for more and more
people.
Not implementing PASV will make your server inaccessible to people
behind these internet router based firewall. A quickly growing number
of organizations are starting to use them.
